Helen Gregorio, Togiak

Through my community work and education, including many trainings and conferences, I have developed some understanding of issues facing our communities and regions.  I believe our people and leaders need to be informed and be pro-active to move our communities forward. God is important in my life, so are my four grown children but my greatest pride and joy are my six grandchildren: Samantha, Olivia, Susanna, Isaiah, Aria and Craig.

I was born to Dan and Emma Nanalook and raised in Togiak.  I come from a ‘big’ family of 11 brothers and sisters.  I grew up speaking Yupiaq and learned to speak English in grade school.

I graduated from Victory High School in 1971, attended UAA, UAF, and UAS for various certificate programs and many trainings and conferences for my job and various organizations for my community.
